Keith Bohanna

7 of us gathered in Kilkenny Cafe today for nearly 2 hours of tech and internet chat. 4 from the first one were joined by Katherine Nolan (local Web Dev), Tom Corcoran from Arclabs in Waterford and Frank ?. Apologies for not catching your surname. And shortly afterwards we were joined by Keith Shirley who came over from Carlow.

Frank works in software dev with medium sized tech business in Dublin and himself and his wife thinking about moving. He used the opportunity of Open Coffee to come down and get a feeling for what is happening around. That was great to hear.

Frank Bradley showed us some of the internal social comms tools which Oracle are deploying (we were all impressed by those) and I talked through the process of usability design which dbTwang and Des Traynor in Contrast are engaged in at present.

next one March 3rd (Tuesday), 11.30 same venue

I enjoyed yesterdays meetup.  Great to see a few new faces there.

I still can't believe that most of the internal tools Oracle are using were developed by people on their own time.  Amazing stuff.

Does the local enterprise board get involved/support in opencoffee events?
